Depression

Everyone has bad days and feels down on occasion. However, when you feel down for days or weeks, with no relief in sight, you are experiencing the medical condition of depression.

Depression is treatable with medication, therapy, or both. If you, or someone you care about has depression, make an appointment with a medical professional. The full Clear Skies program will have detailed information on treatments for depression.

Note: There are often long waits to be seen, even for treatment of depression. If you are on a wait list for an appointment, don't give up. Ask to be put on a cancellation wait-list or ask if you can see a nurse practitioner or another medical professional. If you start to feel better, don't cancel your appointment. Go to the appointment when available and find out about options for quicker follow-up care.
